Erik Czapnik Memorial
Honoring a Hero
The Ottawa Police Blues Charity Classic Soccer Tournament

Remembering Constable Eric Czapnik
Badge #1907 will forever be etched in our hearts as a symbol of bravery, sacrifice, and selflessness.
Constable Eric Czapnik, who gave his life in the line of duty, embodies the true essence of a hero. His
legacy continues to inspire us all.
A Tribute in Action
In 2013, the Ottawa Police Blues Charity Classic soccer tournament was born, driven by a dual purpose.
We sought to unite emergency personnel from all corners of the country while extending a helping hand
to a local charitable organization that shared our core values. Above all, this tournament was a tribute
to Constable Eric Czapnik, a way to ensure that his memory lives on through acts of service and goodwill.

Community, Compassion, and Commitment
Thanks to the unwavering support of our community partners, the Ottawa Blues Charity Classic has become a beacon of hope and compassion. With every tournament, we’ve been able to channel our collective efforts towards a cause that truly matters. To date, we’ve proudly donated over $70,000 to At Risk youth and Ottawa Special Needs families, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A Tradition of Unity
The tournament isn’t just about the competition on the field; it’s about the spirit of camaraderie that permeates every match. It’s about emergency personnel standing shoulder to shoulder, forging bonds that last a lifetime. It’s about showing that together, we can make a meaningful impact on our community.
